Sensei RidgewayTSKF hosted an exceptional seminar on Kata Bunkai with Sensei Ridgeway from England on May 20th. Participants were exposed to many intriguing concepts that helped deepen their appreciation for this fundamental aspect of Karate training.
T-ShirtsWe still have some T-shirts remaining. The cost is $25 GST included and students are permitted to wear the t-shirts during training during the hot summer months.
Warrior Cup Congratulations to Amber Lloyd for winning the Women’s Black Belt division at the Warrior Cup Kumite tournament on July 12th and congratulations to Harpal Chandi for winning the Men’s Black Belt Division. This is Harpal’s 4th victory at this event. Congratulations also go out to our other TSKF competitors who all represented very well. Those include Tanner and Lorraine Hill, Kevin Lai, Maisie Dang Anthony Moyer, Randy Hanlon and Shaina Inkster. Look for photos to be posted to the website soon.
Show and Shine DemoCongratulations to the TSKF demo team for another great performance at the New West Show and Shine. Members included Karate Kids Jaya-Myisha Story, Brittany Titian and Rose Buma and Adult members Lorraine and Tanner Hill, Maisie Dang, Laura Mayes, Jason Overy and Shaina Inkster.
Private Lessons Members should be aware that TSKF has started to offer private lessons. Private lessons can be arranged on a continuing or short term basis in the following areas: Karate, Self-Defense, Japanese Kobudo (weapons) including Bo, Jo, Tonfa, Sai and Nunchaku, Personal Martial Arts Fitness training, Naginata , Pre-Grading Session, small group classes Inquire at the front counter for more information. Dojo Dress CodeKarate members should be aware that the dojo dress code has been lightly enforced so far. That will change starting on September 1st. Proper attire for Karate students will be a solid white traditional gi for all regular classes. The following exceptions will apply. Black belts will have the choice of white or black gis. Saturday class will be dress code free.
